Greetings! My name is Winston Close. I develop straightforward, readable websites with an emphasis on privacy.
Too many websites report their users to Google and social media companies, are encumbered by too much technology, cover up a lack of anything to say with overwhelming animated effects, or are pure AI slop. I make calm, usable, privacy-first, human-built websites for people who have real information to present.
I avoid unnecessary code and technologies in my websites. My streamlined approach results in lower development costs, and makes sites load much faster and more reliably for the reader.
I want the reader to be in a quiet sensory space with your information. I avoid the dazzling graphic effects that many websites use, making them challenging to read or even look at. My websites are mostly free of unrequested movement and changes in appearance.
Please e-mail me at winston@winstonclose.org to set up a meeting if you could use a reader-friendly website. If you just have questions about the privacy or infrastructure of your website, I am available to consult. Preference is given to local academic, activist, cultural, and small business clients.
